SUMMERY SUNDAY SCHOOL PLANS

    Come and join the outdoor camping summer Sunday school.  We will be meeting at the campfire in the woods behind the church.  Summer Sunday school runs June 8 through July 27, from 10:00 to 10:30 A.M.  Please plan to come and join the fun!
The theme is nature and the schedule follows:
June   8   Jesus' Outdoor Ministries - Dottie Rikkers
June 15   Parable of the Sower - Lyn Dauffenbach
June 22   The Rich Farmer -  Laurie Palesotti
June 29   Youth Sunday where all youth will participate in the church service
July     6   Psalm 8, Care of the Earth -  Carrie Gee
July   13   Look and See God's Work - Lynn and Danny Ries
July   20   Creation Stories - Jane Dow and Amy Friedman
July   27   Film Day directed by Pat Thompson.

ATTENTION ALL WHO LOVE TO HAVE FUN!!!

    FAMILIES: FAMILY CAMP is the first weekend in August.  Pat Thompson will be making the registration forms available any minute.  You can camp via cabins, tents or campers.  We had a great time last year and anticipate another wonderful weekend this year.  Let Pat or I know if you would like to go.  This is something you may not want to miss!!!!!!
    KIDS: I talked with the children on Sunday about some of the various camps for them during the summer.  There has been some interest expressed by some of the children.  I hope they remembered to talk to you, their parents about it.  There is information here in the office and Pat is ordering some more.  Please, please do not let money or transportation be something that hinders your child from going to camp.  If you would appreciate help in either or both, let me know and we’ll quietly find the solution.  It’s a great experience that they’ll carry far into the future.    Looking for my sleeping bag, Pastor Lynn

SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES

    V.B.S.: The dates for this summer’s Vacation Bible School are July 27 through July 30.  Centenary UMC will be hosting this year’s event.

    National Youth Event: If any  high school aged youth are interested in attending this event in Knoxville this July, please contact Pastor Lynn or Pat Thompson as soon as possible.

         Sunday School Potluck Picnic
        Join the Education Ministries Team Sunday, May 18th after fellowship time for a potluck picnic.  Hotdogs and hamburgers will be provided and you are asked to bring a dish to pass.  Please sing up on the bulletin board.  If you have questions call Pat Thompson at 381-1165.
